SONY XPERIA Z5: WHAT’S SO COOL ABOUT IT?
Sony Xperia Z5, known as the ‘Bond Phone’ these days after making an appearance in the latest James Bond installment ‘Spectre’, is a phone definitely worthy of the title. After years of half-hearted, rushed efforts by Sony to make improvements to their product, it seems like with its latest flagship, Sony has finally made a hit.
With amazing design and key feature improvements such as frosted glass back, amazing finger print sensor and stronger battery life, this is a really good modification to the previous model.
Sony Xperia Z5 measures 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm, thus making it much easier to handle. With a 5.2-inch display and trademark Sony design language consisting of flat front and back, sharp and angular edges; this phone is a big improvement on Xperia Z3. Running with Google’s Android Lollipop 5.1.1 software, the size of Xperia Z5’s screen is good enough for important and mostly used applications. With its full HD display powered by X-Reality technology, watching stuff on it is a real treat. The dust resistant and waterproof design is also a plus point.
However, the real treat offered by Sony in its latest product is its camera. Xperia Z5 features a 23-Megapixel sensor, 0.03-second autofocus and 5x image zoom with a F2.0 G lens. Thus, it is real handy for people who have a passion for photography. You can also capture action shots and with its low-light settings, you can take amazingly clear photos at night or in dark surroundings.
With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, it is said to possess a battery life up to two days. With Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, you get 5.5 hours of usage for 10 minutes of charging.
Some other notable features are high-resolution audio, integration with PS4 Remote Play etc.
Another most talked about enhancement is the addition of fingerprint sensor, thus increasing the levels of security. The fingerprint sensor, unlike iPhone’s finger print sensor that takes a circular section of your finger print, is combined with the power button, thus the Xperia only captures a narrow sliver of the print.
Also, Sony now offers microSD support up to 200 GB. Only Sony out of big players in the market currently offers that.
Key enhancement in the design is the new frosted glass back in place of the clear glass we have seen on every Xperia phone since the Xperia Z1. You get to have different color choices as well such as black, white, gold and green. Also, unlike previous Xperia phones, Xperia Z5 shrugs off finger prints.
In a nutshell, Xperia Z5 is one of the best products of Sony. Ignoring some tiny problems, it is an amazing phone with some great features worth spending your money on.
