What is TANI?
TANI - the Taekwondo Association of Northern Ireland is the recognised governing body for the practice of Taekwondo in Northern Ireland.
We've been around for 30-odd years, during which time have performed exceptionally well helping new clubs to start up in the province. We have achieved an establishment in the Northern Ireland Martial Arts circuit, with a notable recognition with Sport NI, and the Northern Ireland Martial Arts Commission (NIMAC).
TANI operates primarily within the Martial Arts and Fitness industry, is located in Northern Ireland and currently has 33 clubs represented by 4 Associations. Our range of services involve the deployment of knowledge and experience by our Club Instructors onto their students at various locations where members can come and train. They can be assured that they are getting the best possible coaching in Taekwondo in Northern Ireland.
The martial arts industry in Northern Ireland is projected to grow by 100% over the next 10 years. This expected growth would be due to better management methods under a controlled environment, the establishment of Taekwondo as an Official Olympic sport, and the establishment of a complete Northern Ireland coverage.
